Exhibits at New York International Auto Show

“A huge success!” That is how Dennis Macchio, President of the Bertil Roos Racing School, described its participation at the recently completed New York International Auto Show.

“We were overwhelmed by the amount of exposure we received for the school and its family of corporate partners”, Macchio said. “Having the only formula car on display gave us an opportunity to showcase our product, and those of our sponsors, to unanticipated levels.”

The ten day show, which began April 2nd, was attended by hundreds of thousands of auto enthusiasts.

The school, which kept a rough count on number of visitors to its booth, placed the number at just over 100,000.

Due to the uniqueness of the display, more than 40,000 pictures were taken. “We were extremely happy with both the number of visitors, and the level of their enthusiasm”, Macchio said.

“Open wheel racing interest is on a growth curve and it was great to spend some time talking with so many enthusiasts.”

“Questions about the sport, the school, and its many sponsors seemed to never end. We had as many as 5 people working during peak periods, and they almost never got a chance to rest.”

The school expects the show to fill out its extensive schedule of 2010 programs, held at Virginia International Raceway, New Jersey Motorsports Park, and Pocono International Raceway.
